Overheard about the Strikers-Sidekicks Rivalry

"I don't want to say that the last game between Dallas and Minnesota was rough, but there were 5 penalties that night...and that was during the National Anthem!"

---KVIL-FM (103.7) Disc Jockey on the air just before Game 3 of the aformentioned series.

What Happened to Them?

The Strikers folded on June 22, 1988. The club had been operated out of profits from the Miami Dolphins football club for decades. When the Robbie family built Joe Robbie stadium in Miami, Florida, their bankers would no longer allow them to do this.
