• 1988:
  • The Sidekicks set a club record for most wins at home during the regular season with 22.
    • The previous record was 16, set during the 1985-86 season.
• The Sidekicks also set an Regular Season Attendance record, averaging 9,878 over 28 home games.
  • The previous record was during the 1986-87 season, when an average of 8,637 fans showed up for each of the 26 home games.

• 2004: Only 3,238 fans attended the MISL Quarterfinal match on this date.
  • That was the smallest crowd ever to watch a Sidekicks home playoff match.
    • It was also the 2nd lowest attended playoff game ever in Sidekicks history.

 

Tire Kicking

• 1991: Richard Rainwater, then an investor in the Texas Rangers baseball organization, expressed interest in purchasing the Sidekicks and reviving the franchise which previous owner Phill Cobb ceased operations of at the end of the 1990-91 season.
