Lawsuit
Settled
1984: The Sidekicks
settled with Cleveland
over the Force's lawsuit
over the signing of Tatu. Dallas agreed
to give up their 2nd Round draft choice in the 1985 MISL College Draft. According
to the terms of the agreement, if the Sidekicks had finished with a better
record than the Force, then Cleveland would receive the 'Kicks first round
draft pick. The 'Kicks finished with a 12-36 record this season, the worst
in the MISL.
Coming Home
1993:David Doyle returned to the United
States from a tryout a team in England.
He spent the winter
with the St. Louis Ambush of the NPSL, returning to the Sidekicks for
the 1994 CISL season.
