1993:The following firsts happened on this date:

First time the Sidekicks played a Regular Season match outside the United States.

First win over La Raza and win at Gimnasio del ITESM.

Giampaulo Pedroso scored his first goal as a professional.

1992:This may give us the opportunity to do some things that could be more beneficial and bring about some stability and more interest to the sport.

-Head Coach Gordon Jago to the Dallas Morning News to the question of whether or not the death of the M(I)SL was a good thing for the sport of soccer in the USA.

Moving Forward

1992: Owner Don Carter instructed head coach Gordon Jago and general manger Ish Haley to report to him around July 20 on what the Sidekicks options for "competitive play" would be for the future.

 

League Meetings

1988: The MISL Board of Governors met in Cleveland along with MISL Players Association director John Kerr to discuss the future of the sport as 5 teams ceased operations after the end of the 1987-88 season.
