Record Book

1993: The Sidekicks set a team record by scoring 13 goals at Arizona. This beat the previous mark of 12 vs Kansas City on February 22, 1991. This record was broken 10 days later at La Raza when the 'Kicks scored 19.

Trade

1994: Sent Gary Young to the Las Vegas Dustdevils for the rights to Mike Powers, who declined to report to Las Vegas after being taken in the Dustdevils Expansion Draft.

Front Office Changes

1985: Bill Nuttall was fired, and the position of Player Personell Director eliminated. Head Coach Gordon Jago assumed the duties of scouting and player contract negotiations that previously to Nuttall.

 

Labor Trouble

1986: The MISL owners instituted a lockout of the players in a dispute over written details of a tenative contract agreed to during the season that prevented a player walkout. Sidekick players continued to work Summer Camps during the dispute.
