1992: The Season Between Leagues |
On July 12, 1992, the Major Soccer League decided to disband. The St. Louis Storm announced that the franchise would fold, and the remaining owners decided they could not go on with less than 7 teams.
The Sidekicks joined the newly formed Continental Indoor Soccer League on August 21, 1992 . To keep the club in the public eye while they waited for the June 1993 startup of the CISL, the Sidekicks planned to play one exhibition game a month during the winter months. Only two games were actually played.
