Snyder was named an NCAA Division I all-American while attending Penn State.
Snyder was selected to play for Team USA for a "friendly" with England in 1986. He also has played for Team USA-Indoor, and for the Youth Team USA in 1983.

Snyder went on to play for the Washington Warthogs of CISL. He was Head Coach at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland until before the 2002 season.
