Player Section

• Position: There are four positions on an indoor soccer field that a player can play:
  1. Forward
  2. Midfielder
  3. Defender
  4. Goalkeeper

• Height: How tall was he?
• Weight: How much did he weigh (in pounds)
• Birthday: On which day was he born?
• Birthplace: What city (or country) was he born in?

• Given Name: The name his parents gave the player.
  • Some players used a nickname
    • for example Beto or Tatu
  • Other players' names were shortened for ease of pronunciation or marketing purposes.
  • for example, Dali instead of Dalivor Cvitanovic
  • or Krys Sobieski instead of Krzysztof Zdzislaw Sobieski
• Citizenship: There are two definitions:

1. Merriam-Webster's dictionary
   • a native or naturalized person who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it.
2. The country for which you can play for it's national soccer team.

• College: Name of the school where he played inter-collegiate soccer.
• Previous Club: The name of the professional club he played for before coming to Dallas.
• Pronunciation: How the player's name is said aloud

• Seasons Pro: Number of years the player played either indoors or outdoors for money.
  • For the Archive's purposes, this is a yearly count.
    • If a player played outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter (or indoors for different teams during both), it is counted as 1 season.
• Seasons with the Sidekicks: The number of seasons the player wore the Dallas uniform.
