- 1986: General Manager Ron Adkins announced that with one more day left before then-owner Don Carter's deadline to have an agreement in place to sell the franchise or the Sidekicks would fold, there were no written proposals presented to him. He told the Dallas Morning News that there were 3 groups that were negociating to buy the franchise, and one of them had preented an oral proposal. Adkins remained confident that the sale would happen.
