Never Say the "S" word

• 1986: Krys Sobieski shutout the St. Louis Steamers for 59:52 before Steve Pecher scored to deny the Sidekicks their first ever blanking of an opponent (and Sobieski's 3rd as a goalkeeper at the time.)

Schedule Change

• 1987: The New York Express' folding at mid-season required the Sidekicks to add Wichita as one of the two "make-up" games to complete the MISL schedule.

Indoor Soccer First

• 1994: Shannon Presley was invited to the Houston Hotshots training camp on this date. She became the first woman ever to sign with a professional indoor soccer team in the United States. She apeared in 4 games during the season.
