• 1989: Stan Finney, Chairman of the Board of Sidekicks I, Ltd. (the partnership that owned the Sidekicks), announced his intention to reduce his comitment to the club to that of a minority owner. Mr. Finney told the Dallas Morning News "I'm not interested in being the point man any further...I clearly don't want to be the chairman or the CEO...." Mr. Finney began talks with three potential investors, but declined to name them at the time.
