1994: Kevin Smith signed with La Raza de Monterrey.
- Smith was sitting out the season rather than report to La Raza, who had selected him in the 1993 CISL Expansion Draft.
  - The protest was over an agreement Smith beleived he had with La Raza that would have allowed him to return to the Sidekicks if he played the 1993 season with the Monterrey club.
  - He returned to Dallas for the 1995 season.

1988: Sidekicks team president David Shuttee announced that Assistant Coach Keith Weller's contract would not be renewed for the upcoming season. Weller's contract expired on August 25, 1988.
