How The West Was Won

The original Sidekicks franchise won the regular season division championship on 3 separate occasions. Each time it was when Dallas was aligned into the Western Division: 1989-90 in the MISL, 1994 in the CISL, and 2003-04 in the MISL-2.

The PASL-era Sidekicks earned the PASL Central Division title during their first season of 2012-13.

Always Remember the First Time

1990: The Sidekicks cinched their first ever regular season Western Division Championship.

 

Ceased Operations

1991: Phil Cobb, majority owner of Championship Soccer, Inc.(the corporation that operated the Sidekicks) ceased operations of the franchise until new ownership could be found. Cobb told the Dallas Morning News that he lost $1.5-$2 million during his two years as the principle owner of the club.
